Who is responsible
AgAurium is responsible for the data you enter on this site. For questions about your data you can get in touch at info@agaurium.nl.
What data we keep
Your name, email address and password (the password is stored encrypted and cannot be read by anyone). Your settings: language, currency, units and chosen columns. The items you enter, with everything you fill in, such as purchase price, purchase date, serial number, notes and photos. Once per day that you use the site, the total value of your inventory.
The shared catalogue
Of every item you save, only the product details go into a catalogue that all users can see: product name, material, type, country, year, fineness, weight, dimensions and mintage. It does not say who they came from. Purchase details, serial numbers, condition, notes and photos are never shared. So do not put personal information in the product name.
Review of photos
To prevent inappropriate images from being posted, the administrator can view uploaded photos and delete them if necessary. It is not shown whose photo it is, and the other details of your items are not visible.
Feedback and blocking
If you send feedback, we keep your message, your name, your email address and any image, so the administrator can reply. If someone posts inappropriate content, the administrator can block that account; the user sees the reason when signing in. Feedback is erased when you delete your account.
Sharing your collection
Your collection is visible only to you, unless you create a share link yourself. Anyone with that link then sees the details you ticked, and photos if you choose so. Serial numbers, purchase details, value and notes are never shown through the link. You can stop sharing at any time; the link then no longer works.
What we use your data for
Only to let you keep track of your inventory. We do not sell data, show advertisements or track you. The site uses no tracking cookies; your browser only remembers that you are logged in and your preferences.
Who else is involved
The database, login and photo storage run at Supabase. For the gold and silver prices your browser requests data from gold-api.com, frankfurter.dev and jsDelivr; these services see your IP address, not your inventory. If you add a photo from an internet address, that image is fetched from the website concerned. A donation goes through PayPal, under PayPal’s terms.
How long we keep data
Until you delete it yourself. If you delete an item, the data and photos of that item are gone. If you delete your account, all your items, photos and account details are erased. Product details already in the shared catalogue remain there, without any reference to you.
Your rights
You can always view and change your data, export it as a CSV file (Profile, Import and export) and delete your account (Profile, Delete account). If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, you can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
Your data is shielded per user in the database: other users cannot see your inventory. The connection to the database is encrypted.
